Build by Mewar dynasty rulers, the City Palace is considered the largest of its type in the state. From the height of the palace, one will witness the panoramic view of the city on one side and Lake Pichola on the other side. They planned the Palace in a way to avoid any direct attack of the enemy.

Named after Mewar Maharana Sajjan Singh, Monsoon palace is a hilltop palace that is made of white marble. The Palace is 5 km west of Udaipur city and on the Bansdara peak of Aravalli hills. One can see the panoramic view of the city, lakes (Specially Pichola lake), and palaces from here.
One can hire a scooter or car from the city to visit the place. Road to palace goes through the Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary, which is a reserve for wild animals/birds like tigers, nilgai, sambhar deer, wild beer and jackals, etc.

Next to City Palace, Pichola Lake is an artificial freshwater lake that is famous among tourists for sunset boat riding. There are two islands within the lake, Jag Niwas (Lake Palace Hotel) and Jag Mandir.
One can explore jag Mandir during the Boat ride in Pichola Lake. Some portion of the temple is also featured in the movie Octopussy (1983).
In the evening, nearby places such as Temples, Ghats, and City Palace lights up with the golden light of the Sun’s rays as it travels below the horizon.

Fateh Sagar Lake
Named after Mewar Maharana Fateh Singh, it is an artificial freshwater lake that is constructed in the northwest of Udaipur.
This lake is also famous for sunset boat riding. One can spend the evening on the banks of the Lake. One can see the young crowd spending evening time at the banks of the lake.
The evening weather is pleasant and there are few food shops near the lake.
Badi lake is constructed in the outer skirts of the city. This place is quite silent and beautiful. One can plan to spend some time in solitude at this place.
Bagore ki Haveli
Bagore ki Haweli is famous for two things, One is the Museum which displays the Rajput costumes & modern art and another is the Dharohar folk dance show where Rajasthani dance, music, and puppetry are performed in a small room theatre stage.
Dharohar folk dance show is a famous event for locals and foreigners, which presents the Rajasthani culture in the form of dance and music. This a perfect entertainment activity of the evening in Udaipur.

Saheliyo ki Bari
Built by Rana Sangram Singh, Saheliyo ki Bari is a major garden in the city. They have decorated the place with fountains around a tomb-shaped structure. It also has a small museum that displays the portrait of Rajput history.

Built by Maharana Jagat Singh, the Jagdish temple is one of the famous Hindu temples which is dedicated to Lord Jagannath and in the close vicinity to the City Palace.

Vintage and Classic Car Museum
As the name suggests, this place has a collection of old classic cars and is a must-visit for automobile enthusiasts. These cars were owned by the Maharanas of the Mewar dynasty.
Here, one will get to see old models of Rolls Royce, Cadillac, Ford-A Convertible, Vauxhall-12, and a few others.

Shilpgram Village (Craftsmen’s village)
Shilpgram is a government-established complex where traditions and rural life of western states are showcased. Small hut structures are made in the complex representing the different states. They made the complex in a way that it gives an authentic picture of the tribal/rural area.
Local dance, Camel ride, Horse ride are the few activities one can indulge himself in. You can also purchase the crafts made by the local artisans.
Hathi Pol Bazaar
Hathi Pol Bazaar is a famous tourist market that offers a variety of handmade products like crafts, textile, local footwear, local turban, and paintings. The market is functional on weekdays only.
